I am currently enrolled in my first year at Yale University, where I'm focusing most of my studies on political science and computer science. Ever since I was a high school student, I developed this fondness for learning new things. As someone who naturally has excellent study habits and organizational skills, I realized that preparing for tests and excelling in coursework came naturally for me - but not for everyone else. For this reason, I decided to become a tutor so that I should share my own experiences and life skills with people interested in getting the most out of their education. There's just something incredible about being able to empower someone by sharing your own experiences and skills with them. While I have the experience to teach a number of subjects, including math, science, and social studies, my favorite lessons are those that prepare students for standardized tests like the SAT and ACT. Because standardized testing is a skill in itself, even some of the brightest pupils in the classroom struggle on test day if they don't come relaxed and prepared. Because of this, I try to teach my students how to think critically and solve problems independently, so that they're able to ace these tests and get into their first-choice college program.
