Experience

I have over 12 years of private tutoring experience for students in kindergarten all the way until graduate school in a wide variety of subjects including: ~math K-College Calculus 1 ~high school biology, chemistry, physics, ~collegiate computer science, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, ~standardized test preparation for PSAT/SAT/SAT subject tests Additionally, I am a tutor in a variety of organizations in my university, as well as independent state-wide tutoring companies. I excelled at the SAT and GRE, with a perfect score in math in both exams. I received a cumulative 2330 on the SAT (when it was out of 2400) and a 331 on the GRE (out of a total of 340). My favorite subject to tutor is math. Specifically, I love teaching math competition problems, like Math Olympiad or Math Counts, which have a greater emphasis on the method of arriving at a solution or plan of attack rather than the actual math involved. These core principles are key for students to be able to excel in the face of any sort of problem in front of them. I have always been an advocate of tutoring being a way to build basic learning skills and studying habits so students can eventually be able to independently succeed in further academics. I am all about making a difference for people in any way that I can, which I have attempted to do in service organizations like Alpha Phi Omega and Girl Up. We have done outreach programs to foster a love of learning and higher education as well as increase STEM participation in underprivileged communities. I believe that nourishing that passion is one of the key aspects of allowing students to flourish, and that works best when I work with the students one-on-one. I was named the Outstanding Engineer for the class of 2020 in my university, and chosen to in the first class of Kode with Klossy Scholars, learning to code with the help of Karlie Kloss. Additionally, I got two engineering bachelor's degrees in 4 years and was selected to directly go on to my Doctoral degree after my undergraduate degree. I was awarded for my excellent leadership with the Presidential Undergraduate Leadership Award.
