I became a tutor because I find individual instruction - just myself and the student - to be the most rewarding and effective education process. This allows the student to learn at their own pace, with their own study methods. If a student does not have a great method for studying, then I have the experience to help them. I have been a chemistry teacher for five years, at all levels of chemistry, and have successfully tutored many high school and college students who struggled with the subject. Chemistry combines science and mathematics, which are two very difficult subjects for many high school-aged students. I have always been very passionate about science and math, and my goal as a tutor is to make the subjects fun and engaging for my students. With just a few new problem-solving skills in a student's repertoire, I know they will find chemistry, math, and science easy and enjoyable subjects. The, they will begin to see improvement in their test scores. As more and more careers require a math and science background, it is more important than ever for high school students to grasp these intricate but fascinating subjects, and I am here to help.
