I am a graduate of Macalester College with a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature. I have experience tutoring with two different private tutoring organizations. I focus on tutoring English and essays. I can assist students who are struggling with grammar and assignments for Language Arts classes, and I can also work with students on essay writing, literary analysis, and creative writing. In addition, I tutor test prep for the writing and reading sections of the ACT and SAT exams, and the GRE subject test in Literature in English.What makes me a great tutor is that I can relate to my students well. My own experiences as a student make it easy for me to understand when students are frustrated, and I am able to show them how to surmount any obstacles to better understand the material at hand. I am a genuine, caring person who wants my students to succeed, and I have full confidence in their ability to do so. This attitude shines through to my students when we work together.
